From July 6 to 8, 2018, the World Trade Center in Pasay City will be hosting an international meeting of thousands of youth from all over the world, from different ethnicities, cultures, and religions. They will come together to be a witness that a united world is possible. The occasion is the GENFEST 2018, organized by the Youth for a United Word of the Focolare Movement.
This is the 11th edition of Genfest. It is for the first time that it will be held outside Europe, the first time in Asia, and the very first time in the Philippines! The first Genfest was held in 1973, in a fraction of Incisa Val d’Arno, near Florence, Italy. The last one was held in Budapest, Hungary. All the others were held in Rome.
The three-day gathering at the World Trade Center will include an experiential exposition, workshops and fora, social experiences, plenary meetings, cultural evenings, prayers for peace and many other possible occasions of interpersonal meetings.
