More Playing Chances for Basketball Players
MPBL has a wide avenue for various basketball players. Teams chose from a combination of ex-PBA cagers, players from ligang labas, local celebrities, former collegiate standouts, and young-blooded athletes. Supporters of these players will get to see their favorites playing again on a new league. MPBL gives more chances for them to share their skills and passion.
Boosting of Hometown Pride
Each team represents a specific province or city. It can also highlight different perspectives about a common image of the place. An example is how Mindanao-based teams aim to show more than just the problems and challenges of their provinces. Indeed, the league helps in giving pride and positivity for the participating teams.
More Available Venues
The format of MPBL allows a ‘home vs away’ game schedule, thus, allowing more venues to be used rather than the usual arenas. These sports complex, gymnasiums, and coliseums of the cities or provinces will have the home court advantage. It lets fans and residents see more of the basketball action on the front row.
Deepens the Filipino’s Passion for Basketball
Filipinos can’t get enough of basketball. Kids play barefoot on the streets. School varsities wear their school pride. PBA players fight for the championship title. National team players are on fire in international competitions. Fans and enthusiasts watch these games with such commitment and passion. MPBL will be another league to celebrate Filipinos’ love for basketball.
